Born in 1971 in Tehran, Iran; graduated from the National Organization for
Development of Exceptional Talents, has a bachelor’s degree in English
Language & Literature from the University of Tehran and a master’s in
Linguistics from Allâmeh Tabâtabâyi University. He became Maestro
Pâyvar’s pupil when he was not yet 10 and some years later won two Fajr
Music Festival awards for the best santur player consecutively in 1995 and
- His repertoire comprises vocal pieces with modern verse, instrumental
improvisation on santur and a collection for children & young adults. He also
is a writer, translator and an editor of music.
