Shabnam Samieeyan,born in Shiraz (Iran), is a poet and translator.
She is a permanent member of the National Australian Association of Translators & Interpreters (NAATI) and a member of the International Association of Professional Translators & Interpreters (IAPTI).
Her first professional activities in the field of poetry and literature began in 2001, consisting of publishing articles in prestigious journals and publishing of a book of poetry entitled “Dewy Words”.
Later, two other collections of her poems were published in different years & her latest book of poetry called “What I named you”, published in 2018, was translated into French under the same title: “Ce que J’ai nomeé Toi”.
On terms of translation, she has translated and published over 30 books from English into Farsi which are among the best-sellers in Iran. These books are in the fields of classic literature, psychology, mysticism, positive psychology, politics, literature of adolescents, etc.
Shabnam Samieeyan is also the author of a pictorai book
titled “From Me to Love”which is an exquisite collection of conversations
face to face with Iranian intellectuals of literature and art.
